Hair- the crowning glory which attract every one’s attention towards you! But in reality very few people are blessed naturally by profuse healthy hair growth. Others, including even the most famous celebrities and socialites achieve it by regular care and strict regime. Apart from some natural flaws like thinness, dullness, brittle hair etc. weather too plays havoc with the hair condition and damages their look. During summer, the hair tends to get stickier and hence poses big problem. Here are few tips which can keep your hair swaying beautifully even during the summer.
Regular cleaning
If you have a habit of washing your hair once in a week, then during the summer, shampoo your hair at least thrice a week, so that your hair looks free from dirt and clean. In summer due to perspiration, lot of grime and dust is attracted by the hair due to which they tend to become dirty and sticky. This can cause problem while combing hair. Even your hair can smell ugly. The best remedy is to use a good cleaning shampoo 3 times a week, followed by conditioner. Use of conditioner is very important as it makes the hair manageable and easy for combing. You can also try the mix of Shikakai, soap nut, dried orange rind powder for washing your hair as it is a natural scalp cleaner and also leaves your hair smelling refreshingly fresh. The thing that is to be kept in mind while washing your hair is that, the water should be only lukewarm and never hot as it can make your hair brittle and dry.
Natural hair packs
Try making some natural hair packs by using ingredients from the shelves of your kitchen.
- Use of curd and honey is a good scalp cleaner and it also gives the necessary glow to your hair. Apply this mixture on your hair by hair brush and leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes and then wash with mild shampoo.
- Egg is highly nutritious for skin and hair. Mix egg yolk and lemon juice evenly and then apply on the scalp. Leave it for half an hour, till you hair feels a bit of tightening and then wash with lukewarm water followed by a good shampoo.
- Hibiscus leaves are great for hair. Even its flowers are used for making nourishing hair oils. Blend some hibiscus leaves, olive oil and curd in a mixer to a fine paste and apply it on the scalp. Follow the same wash routine as above.
- Fruit packs are too good for hair during summer. Orange juice mixed with some nourishing oils like sweet almond oil, olive oil etc. can work wonders as cleanser as well as for nourishment. It also has a great refreshing scent.
Apart from that you should also shield and protect your hair from harsh sunlight. Always go out with umbrella and a scarf and put it on whenever you are under the open sky. Try to avoid using blow dryers and formaldehyde based products in summer for your hair.
Naturally Achieve Curly Eyelashes Tips
Posted on July 25, 2011 | Health and Beauty Tips.
Achieving naturally curly eyelashes can be quite a mean feat especially when your eyelashes are naturally short or straight. Many of us turn to eyelash curlers to get the curl we desire but this only lasts a couple of hours, sometimes even producing poor results. Are there any natural ways to get curlier eyelashes without damaging your eyelashes at the same time? Of course there are and you don’t have to worry about searching the internet for hours for the answers as here we’ll provide you with 3 top tips which will help you achieve naturally curlier eyelashes.
Apply Vaseline to Your Lashes
Applying Vaseline to your eyelashes regularly over a period of 3-4 weeks or longer can make your eyelashes become increasingly curler. By applying Vaseline your eyelashes become increasingly moisturised and supple enabling them to form a slight curl. Remember you have to apply Vaseline to your lashes every night and wash it off every morning for 3-4 weeks or longer. Using either a make up remover pad or make up remover solution will effectively remove the Vaseline from your lashes every morning without irritating your eyes. Without carrying out this constant application there is little chance that you will see your eyelashes beginning to curl.
Use a Spoon
You can use a spoon to naturally curl your eyelashes but there are a few steps you need to take to make sure you get curlier eyelashes rather than a sore eyeball. Find a clean spoon with a thin handle and submerge it in a bowl full of warm water. While the spoon is getting warm coat your eyelashes in a natural oil for example jojoba oil or olive oil and then once the spoon is warm place it behind your lashes and proceed to curl your lashes around the spoon. Please make sure the spoon is not hot as this can burn your eyelashes. Repeat once a week for your eyelashes to become curlier.
Use Your Fingers
You can effectively use your fingers to gradually increase the curl of your eyelashes over time. All you need to do is rub your fingers together until they become warm and then place your eyelashes between them, moving them up in a curling motion. Repeat until you have the eyelash curl you desire. After you have achieved the curl you desire apply your favourite mascara and other make up it needed.
